EXCLUSIVE: NBC‘s Suits: L.A. drama pilot will feature guest appearances by John Amos (Roots, Good Times), Victoria Justice and Kevin Weisman (Alias). The project is an expansion of the Suits universe from Aaron Korsh.

Suits L.A. centers on Ted Black (Stephen Amell), a former federal prosecutor from New York, who has reinvented himself representing the most powerful clients in Los Angeles after joining forces with his old buddy Stuart Lane (Josh McDermitt) to build Black Lane Law, which specializes in criminal and entertainment law.

The firm is at a crisis point and to survive Ted must embrace a role he held in contempt his entire career. He is surrounded by a group of characters who test their loyalties to both Ted and each other while they can’t help but mix their personal and professional lives. All of this is going on while events from years ago slowly unravel, leading Ted to leave behind everything and everyone he loved.

Lex Scott Davis, Bryan Greenberg and Troy Winbush also star.

Amos is playing himself as a client at Ted’s firm who also has a longstanding friendship with Ted. Justice is playing Dylan Pryor, a young movie star who’s confident and ambitious. She’s on the way up and looking to be represented by Ted. Weisman is playing Lester Thompson, a smart and powerful man who is used to getting his way. He’s just been charged with murder and has to listen to others to stay out of prison.

Suits: L.A. is not a reboot or revival of the original USA Network series but a brand extension in the vein of the CSI and NCIS franchises featuring new characters in a new location.

Suits and Suits: L.A. writer and creator Korsh executive produces alongside David Bartis, Doug Liman and Gene Klein, who were EPs on the original series. Victoria Mahoney directs and executive produces the pilot. UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group, is the studio. The team also includes original Suits casting director Bonnie Zane.

Emmy nominee Amos rose to stardom in the lead role of James Evans on the hit CBS sitcom Good Times and in the role of Kunta Kinte on the groundbreaking miniseries Roots. He also played Admiral Percy Fitzwallace on NBC’s Emmy-winning series The West Wing, co-starred with Eddie Murphy in Coming to America, the film Because of Charley, and Me Time with Kevin Hart and Mark Wahlberg. He’s currently working on a biopic with his son, KC Amos. John Amos is repped by Buchwald.

Justice is best known for leading the Nickelodeon series Victorious. She recently starred in two Netflix films, Perfect Pairing (2022) and Afterlife of the Party (2021). Later this year, she will be seen co-starring in the thriller Depravity. She is repped by UTA.

Best known for his role in the hit series Alias, Weisman has also co-starred in Hulu’s Runaways, HBO’s Emmy-nominated comedy series Hello Ladies and Scorpion on CBS. Having appeared in more than 40 shows, his credits include Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Blacklist and David Kelley’s Amazon Studios drama Goliath opposite Billy Bob Thornton and William Hurt. His feature credits include Kevin Smith’s cult classic Clerks 2, Michael Bay’s Gone in Sixty Seconds, and Rob Reiner’s indie Flipped. He is repped by IAG and Link Entertainment.

"I hope you connect with this song in some way & I hope it can also empower you. It comes from the heart & I’m so excited to finally share something with you all!" - Victoria Justice

Big news everyone! Make sure you have your calendars marked for December 11th as Victoria announces the release of her brand new single Treat Myself! The announcement of new music came on December 7th through Victoria’s social media accounts. Alongside the news of the new single, Victoria shared a personal message to her fans on her Instagram account…

“I made a promise to you guys and to myself that I was going to release music in 2020. My hope was to complete a full musical project and have an album or EP to release, but of course 2020 has not exactly turned out as many of us planned. And instead of overthinking all of this, I just thought. F#%! it. I’m going to just put it out there.

I’ve written & recorded many songs over the past few years, but this one in particular has a message that I think is more important than ever to share now.
I know that this year has been so hard for so many of us. We’ve been forced to spend more alone time than ever with ourselves. Which can on some days be a good thing, and other days not so good. That voice in our heads can tear us down, make us doubt ourselves & flat out lie to us. I wanted you guys to know that you’re not alone. I hope you connect with this song in some way and I hope it can also empower you. It comes from the heart and I’m so excited to finally share something with you all!

You can pre-save it now (link is in my bio) and it will be out everywhere on Friday (!!!) Think of it as my gift to you, and a prelude to what will be much more music to come soon. Take it easy on yourselves, we’re all doing our best and we’re all going to get through this together. Love you all so much & words can never express the amount of gratitude I feel everyday to have your support.

All my ♥️!!!!
~Vic”
